1st APICE LOCAL WORKING TABLE in Thessaloniki

The 1^st APICE Local Working Table held on 13^th of June in Electra Palace Hotel, with the participation of Greek APICE partners (Aristotle University of Thessaloniki, University of Western Macedonia and Decentralized Administration of Macedonia and Thrace) and APICE stakeholders.

   The Local Working Table was attended by the stakeholders as mentioned:

• Department of Environment and Spatial Planning of RCM
• Office of Environment and Spatial Planning of DAMTH

• Thessaloniki's Integrated Transport Authority
• Greek Company of Logistics

The stakeholders expressed interest in contributing as well as to the scientific and political objective of the APICE program. Their participation was important and they all contributed to the success of the meeting with suggestions and cooperation spirit.

The Working Table was an opportunity to inform the stakeholders about the first results of the monitoring campaign, in order to identify and quantify sources of air pollution in the urban area of ​​Thessaloniki (UOWM) and to verify their possible link with the port activities. At the same time, there was a presentation of the emission of gaseous and particulate compounds from anthropogenic and natural sources in the city of Thessaloniki (AUTH). Also, was presented the goal of integration policy making and conducted a first discussion about the Local Adaptation Plan (LAP) and the potential agreements (Voluntary Agreements).
